when she was little her father died and her mother raised her but she was very poor but she still became vbery pretty and she is very talented in making clothing and stuff out of nothing and such

when she turned 9 her mother died too but before she died she told zuka that she is very special because she has avatar like powers and such and she must save everyone from the fire nation but she is also destin to marry zuko and she then gave her the nacklace she wares and told her only to use its power when she really needs to.
